ReRAM is an important piece of technology because it will combine the read/write speeds of DRAM. This is a non-volatile form of flash memory that does not stop working once the computer has been turned off. This means that you would have bulk storage that runs on the same kind of speed as system memory. In theory, ReRAM could eliminate loading times and all of the data on a system could be queued up at the equivalent of system RAM.

 Another feature of ReRAM is that it would not require that much power and could be manufactured in high yields. ReRAM is based on the principle of memrister. This technological principle has been around for about 40 years. Memristers are widely believed to have the ability to remember the amount of current that passes through them. HP describes this technology as similar to the way that neurons move in the brain. In January of this year, Elpida, a Japanese firm, released a claim that they had a working prototype for ReRAM that ran on the same speed as DRAM. 

 One of the best features of Mass Effect 3 is the ability to import your player profiles from Mass Effect 2. This plays into the strategy as choices that you made in the original and the sequel could come to haunt you in this conclusive release. If this is your first Mass Effect game, you can make a fresh character to play with. We recommend that you play 1 and 2 before you buy this game so you know the story and get a feel for the game.

 Although this is a great game, there are a few things that we wished would have been extended. The side quests in 3 aren’t as challenging and there are not as many. You can easily find them by overhearing conversations, but there is not a lot of explanation about what you need to do in them. Even with the side quests lacking length and quantity, this game will take you anywhere from 30-40 hours to complete.

 There have a couple of changes to the characters and weaponry also. The conventional weapons are still here, but there are a few new ones to keep things interesting. Your character can now jump when it is prompted and roll around on the floor. This gives the game a more updated feel than Mass Effect 2.  This game also feels much ore vertical than the previous releases. There are a lot more ladders and staircases than the other games, which gives you a few more level to fight on.

 All of the run and shoot and take cover moves are the same. Weapons can be toggled through and your teammates are almost entirely controlled by AI, except for when commands are given. The enemies have been programmed to work together much more in this game than in the previous releases. Mass Effect 3 is the first game in the franchise to use an online component, which closely resembles Gears Of War 3. All in all, this is a great conclusion to the franchise and a lot of players will love the upgrades added to their favorite characters. 

 Blizzard was the company that brought us games like StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft. These games take us to different worlds and fulfill that itch for fantasy, science fiction and a great RPG. The main reason that Blizzard games are so popular is because the company takes its time to create a piece of entertainment, instead of just a game. While the games are already fairly long, an expansion pack breathes new life into a game that players have experience with. Mods and conversions can also be found for their games, giving a player options on what they want to do or can do within the game. Because of the company’s connection with its players, storylines and massive platforms, Blizzard has easily become a staple of the industry. 

 Working a long week can take its toll. Sometimes people just want to veg out in front of their computer and play a game. This form of escapism can help people take their mind off of a big account or simply help them clear their head. Most modern gaming allows players to connect with friends and family members through a broadband connection. This gives people a way to interact with friends and family when distance is an issue.  But gaming isn’t just a way to veg out or escape from reality, gaming is also goal oriented.

When a player connects with others online, they can work together to either beat a boss or defend their base from other players. This gives players a sense of camaraderie through their gaming that others may find by grabbing a beer with a friend or participating in intramural sports. Gaming also promotes the feeling of being a part of something.  Since there is a constant stream of new games flooding the market each year, gamers have something to look forward to. The newest editions of Call Of Duty or Battlefield can help gamers live out their fantasies. With the steady influx of new games to the market, gamers can be a soldier one minute and then a warlock the next, giving them diversity.

 To some, gaming is a great way to burn a couple of hours on the weekend. To others, gaming is a lifestyle. While some people find gaming to be a harmful obsession, studies have even shown that online gaming can promote self-esteem. Because of these reasons, PC gaming is growing more and more popular.  With the technological advances to desktop computers, gaming is taking players into the most realistic frontiers ever. 

 Check the power supply on your computer before you buy a new graphics cards. Make sure that your system has enough power to run the new graphics card. Using a 750W power supply is a pretty good all around choice for all systems. Look at the manufacturer’s minimum requirements before you purchase a new GPU.

 Open the case and make sure that you have enough room for the new GPU. The manufacturer website should have the dimensions listed. If not, they will be listed on the GPU’s box.

 Go to the manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver for your new graphics card. Make sure that you do not install the drivers just yet. Go to the “Control Panel” and uninstall the older GPU software from the “Remove Hardware” option.

 Shut down your system and remove all of the power cords along with your VGA cord from the old GPU. Press the “Power” button with the power cords removed to expel any electricity that still in the system. Open the casing and then remove the power connectors from your old GPU. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that are holding the connector bracket to the case.

 Hold down the removal latch if necessary to remove the older card from the motherboard. Pull the old card from the computer. Attach the power cords to the new GPU and then slide the card into place. Put the connector bracket screws into place once the card has been installed.

 Close the case and attach the VGA cord to the graphics card on the back of your case. If you have a digital cord, attach that and then attach the other end to your display. Plug the power cord back into the system and then turn the system back on.

 If you hear any rumbling or rattling, power the system down and clear any cords from the fans on the inside of the system. If you do not hear any rattling, wait for the system to start up with your new GPU installed. 

 Before you start the overclocking process you will need to run a Windows Update. You can do this from the “Programs” menu by clicking on the “Windows Update” icon. Wait for the update to complete and then restart your system. If you do not have the latest drivers installed to your GPU, go to the manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers.

 Pop one of the favorite games into your computer and test the system for stability after the latest drivers have been installed. Open the GPU control panel and then go to the “Overclocking” or “Frequency” control panel.

 Click on the “Overclock” or “Overdrive” icon from the menu. This option will be dependent on what kind of graphics card you are using. Max out the control settings for the “Power” and then turn off any power related restrictions to the frequency. Increase the GPU frequency from the slider. Turn it up a few MHz at a time so you’re not overpowering the GPU. If you do over power the GPU, your computer could freeze.

 Queue up your game and check it for stability. Increase the frequency until the game crashes and then lower the MHz until you have the frequency just right. Repeat this process until you have a stabilized system that is running your games just under the threshold.

 Now that you have the GPU frequency, you need to focus on the memory. Repeat the same process for the memory until your game has crashed. Then set the GPU frequency and the memory frequency at the most optimal points. Once these have both been set under the threshold, you will have an optimized GPU that overclocked without risking a system crash.

 Click on the “Start” button at the bottom left hand side of your Windows screen. This is the button that gives you access to the “Programs,” “Control Panel” and the “Recent Documents” list.

 Click on the “Control Panel” option from the different selections on the screen and then click on the “Programs” button.

 Click on the “Uninstall a program” icon from the menu that displays in the window. The window should give you a list of all the software that is installed on your system.

 Click on the name of the program hat you want to uninstall your computer and then click the “Uninstall” button. This is located at the top of the window. Depending on the size of the program, the uninstallation process could take up to 2 minutes.

 Wait for the program to uninstall and then repeat this process for all of the software that you want to remove from your computer. Restart you system to complete the uninstallation. Restarting might be required for the programs to completely disappear from your computer.

 Once the computer has restarted, you should notice a small amount of increased performance. Click the “Task Manager” in the programs list to see what programs are starting when you log into your system. Repeat the uninstallation process to remove unwanted programs from your startup list. 

 Space

 While the most serious gamer will have an entire room devoted to their setup, this is not always doable. Having the proper space for all of your equipment is critical. The last thing that you want to do is realize that you’re missing a vital component in the middle of a game. Choose a corner of a room or utilize a large close that is not be used. Make sure that you have all of the proper power needed so you’re not running extension cords all over your home. Reorganize your bedroom or an office to get the right amount of space needed for the best setup.

 Essentials

 Make sure that you have all of the essentials before you implement your gaming setup. Having the right amount of power strips, VGA or HDMI video cables and a sturdy desk is critical to having the perfect gaming setup. A good desk can run you anywhere from 100-300 dollars. If you buy one on Craigslist you might be able to find one for about 50 bucks. Make sure that your desk has plenty of drawer space for extra cables and items that you might need during a game. Having drawers that will keep your stuff within arms reach is a good way to make quick changes to your setup.

 Cable Ties

 Cable ties are one of the best ways to keep cables tidy. Make sure that you have a few cable ties so you can cut down on the mess. You can find different cable ties in electric shops, or you can use zip ties and cut the ends off. Using cable ties in your gaming setup will give it a clean look while also helping you trace back cables if you ever need to switch out components. These items also make dusting a breeze. Simply pull up the cable ties and run a rage around the cables to remove all of the dust from the cables.

 Furniture

 While we have already talked about getting the right desk, other furniture is also good for your setup. If you are using an office, you can buy a gaming chair. These chairs come with speakers built into the headrest. These chairs also come with places to store your mouse and other items that might be needed during the game. If you have a laptop laying around that you might need, consider buying a TV dinner stand to put the laptop on. These are really cheap and sturdy enough for even the heaviest laptop. This will cut down on your desktop space and you can move the TV dinner stand out of the way when you don’t need it.
